1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Visibility Growth collects, uses, stores, shares and deletes personal information when you use visibilitygrowth.co.uk. It describes the data flows that actually exist on this site and in the Visibility Growth platform behind it — not a generic template.
2. Who operates Visibility Growth
Visibility Growth is a product operated under the Visibility Growth name as part of the SEO Arc ecosystem of local-business software.
No separate limited-company registration number is published on this website. For privacy and service contact purposes, Visibility Growth operates from:
3. Information you give us
These are the visitor and customer forms that currently exist:
- Contact page (/contact/): name, email, optional phone, optional business name and website, interest category (general enquiry, website review, Professional plan, Growth Partner, Managed Growth, new website, Hosting & Care, or GBP Management) and message. The form also records the page you came from, the form page address and any UTM campaign tags, plus a one-way hash of your IP address that we use to limit spam. The enquiry is stored on this website, emailed to hello@visibilitygrowth.co.uk, and we send you an acknowledgement email.
- Free Visibility Scan page: business name, optional town/city, and optional email. That form currently sends those values as query parameters to /visibility/find/. The find page uses the business name to search public leaderboard records. The optional email is not stored as a lead by that find page. The query string may still appear in server logs and analytics.
- Find My Business (/visibility/find/): a business-name search of already-published Visibility Index records. No account is created by searching.
- Free Visibility Review / lead forms on public profile and leaderboard pages: your name, business name, email, optional phone, optional message, plus hidden attribution (page URL, campaign/snapshot IDs, UTM tags). These are stored as a lead record on the Visibility Growth hub and an email is sent to our operations inbox, with an acknowledgement email to you.
- Claim a profile: your name, work email, optional phone, and the business being claimed. This can create or link a dashboard account after approval.
- Request a new area/sector (homepage): business name, email, sector, town/city, optional website, optional Google Business Profile URL, and optional notes. Stored as a pending lead on the hub (localprofiles.co.uk). We email you when a requested market is published. A scan does not run until a person reviews the request.
- Dashboard / account: email and password (or equivalent login) if you create an account after a claim or paid plan.
There is no public newsletter / Mailchimp-style signup on visibilitygrowth.co.uk as of this policy date. The homepage “email” slot in the final call-to-action is a visual placeholder that links to the scan page; it does not collect an address by itself.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site we may collect:
- IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed and referrer — from the web server and, if you consent, from analytics
- WordPress session and security cookies needed for login and form protection
- Complianz consent cookies recording whether you accepted, denied or customised cookies
- Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-6T1H85VSH8, loaded via Google tags, when analytics cookies are allowed
- Theme preference in browser local storage on Visibility Index pages (sa_vg_platform_theme)
We did not find a Meta / Facebook pixel on the public site. Cookie consent is handled by the Complianz plugin (Accept, Deny, View preferences).
5. Information about businesses that are not site users
Visibility Growth publishes local leaderboards. To do that, the hub scans public sources for businesses in a town and trade. That is a separate category from data you type into a form.
For those businesses we may process:
- Google Places / Maps data: business name, address, phone, website, category, place ID, ratings and similar public listing fields
- Public website text we fetch to score the listing (title, headings, on-page copy)
- Scores, ranks and movement stored on the hub and shown on public /visibility/ pages
- Contact emails that already appear on a business website, if an operator runs the platform’s public-website email discovery. That module reads a small number of public pages (typically home/contact). It does not use Serper or a third-party email-finder API in the current code.
If you are a business owner and want a listing reviewed or a related lead record deleted, email hello@visibilitygrowth.co.uk.
6. Google connections (optional, paid / dashboard features)
If you connect Google for Google Business Profile features, the platform requests the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage. That can let Visibility Growth read and manage listing information you authorise. We receive profile/location data and the connected Google account email. We do not receive your Google password.
A separate optional connection for Search Console uses https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly so we can read search performance you authorise. Tokens are stored so the connection continues until you disconnect it.
7. Why we use the information (and legal bases)
- Contract / steps before a contract: run a requested scan or review, operate an account, deliver a paid plan, connect Google features you ask for.
- Legitimate interests: publish evidence-based local leaderboards from public listing and website signals; keep the site secure; reply to mailto enquiries; improve reliability. You can object — see Your rights.
- Consent: non-essential analytics cookies (Google Analytics) via the Complianz banner. You can deny or change this at any time.
- Legal obligation: keep records we must keep for tax, accounting or dispute purposes if a paid relationship exists.
8. Payments
We currently arrange payment with you directly. If you pay by card through Stripe, Stripe processes your card details. We receive information about your subscription and payment status, but never your full card number.
9. Google API Services User Data Policy
Google API Services User Data Policy
Visibility Growth’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We never access or store your Google passwords.
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising.
- Google user data from an OAuth connection is used only to provide or improve the connected features you see in the product.
- You may revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and request deletion via the Data Deletion page.
10. Who we share data with (processors we actually use)
We do not sell personal data. These organisations process data for us, or receive it because you asked us to use their service:
- IONOS: hosts visibilitygrowth.co.uk.
- The Visibility Growth hub (localprofiles.co.uk): stores leads, area requests, scan results, rankings and connected-account tokens.
- Google: Places/Maps for market scans; Analytics 4 if you allow analytics cookies; OAuth for GBP/Search Console if you connect an account.
- Postmark: transactional email (acknowledgements, area-ready notices, operator notifications). We did not find Mailchimp or another public newsletter tool.
- Complianz: cookie consent banner and consent records.
- Stripe: only if a paid plan is taken through Stripe checkout. Not used by the public mailto contact form.
- IONOS Mail: receives messages sent to hello@visibilitygrowth.co.uk.
- Professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.
11. Where data is stored
Website files and mailbox sit on IONOS. Lead, scan, ranking and Google-token records sit on the hub WordPress environment. Some processors (Google, Postmark, Stripe, Complianz) may store data in the UK, EEA or other locations under their own terms. We use HTTPS for the public site.
12. How long we keep it
The platform does not currently enforce a single coded retention period for every record. In practice:
- When you send us an enquiry, we store your details and message on our website so we can reply and keep a record of our conversation. We keep enquiries for up to 24 months, then delete them unless you’ve become a customer.
- Area-request and Free Visibility Review leads stay on the hub while we handle the request and any follow-up.
- Google tokens stay while the connection is active, then should be removed when you disconnect or we process a deletion request.
- Public leaderboard rows stay while that market remains published (they are market measurements, not your private account).
- Analytics retention follows the Google Analytics property settings — we have not published a separate number here because it is configured in GA, not in this website’s code.
- Paid-plan records needed for accounting are kept as long as tax law requires.
If you want a specific record removed sooner, email us. We will say if we must keep a limited copy for legal reasons.
13. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise these rights, email hello@visibilitygrowth.co.uk. See also /data-deletion/.
14. Cookies
Use the Complianz banner on this site to accept or deny non-essential cookies. More detail: /cookie-policy/. Note: the cookie policy page may still describe an older “analytics later” state; this Privacy Policy is the current description of GA4 + Complianz.
15. Revoking Google access
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
After you revoke access we cannot pull new Google data for that connection. Email us if you also want stored tokens or linked records deleted.
16. Children
Visibility Growth is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
17. Changes
We will change the “Last updated” date when this policy changes.
